The ore on the Van goal and Baptiste deposit is awaruite, a naturally occurring alloy of nickel and iron. Credit score: FPX Nickel
Because the preliminary drilling program on the Van goal winds down, FPX Nickel (TSXV: FPX) says it has recognized a high-grade, near-surface zone of awaruite nickel mineralization about 400-750 metres large, as much as 750 metres lengthy, and to depths of 350 metres. The Van goal is a part of the Decar property about 90 km northwest of Fort St. James, British Columbia.
The Van zone is open for growth to the south and west and doubtlessly at depth each inside and past the preliminary 2.5-sq.-km goal space. FPX believes the zone has the potential to host a large-scale, standalone nickel deposit which might rival the corporate’s close by Baptiste deposit, which can be discovered on the Decar property.
